Under the Rain

Under the Rain

She got up that morning bubbling with an unprecedented excitement. Today is the day; the D-Day. She kept humming the tune of John Legend's "Love me now". "Oh!! What a joy" was the inscription on her face.
With the energy of a speeding bullet and the force of a vexed bull, she broke through the barriers, tore the sheets down and leaped up from the prison that had held her all night... The sky hummed with excitement and held her spell-bound like the work of a puppeteer.

She dashed into the room that mirrored the sky and made just one small change and so by the push of a button, it started pouring down with reckless abandon. she dropped her filth as though at the cross... came forth out of the room with the fragrance of cinnamon and crushed rose petals; she was beautiful!!! She stood and smiled at the reflection in the mirror and said to herself.... "Now that's more like it!" She wore a gorgeous enchanting smile, one glance at her radiance could definitely tame the beast.

She stepped out into the friendly but cold hands of the environment and just as she had gone a mile plus away, the sky was provoked and at first it merely frowned... "it's gonna clear out soon" she reassured herself. But the sky from a mere frown, decided his clothes needed changing and when no one came to answer, it began to cry.... it cried so hard like a new born baby in need of breast milk. "Oh! NO NO NO NO!!!! this can't be happening right now" Maureen wailed as she stood clueless in the midst of the sky's teary pour.

As she finally got the inkling to seek shelter as her legs started dancing to the unheard tune of cold, she bumped into him and like an avalanche they came clampering down with the force of poseidon and then he broke the fall.

Although she was in a lot of pain, her entire world halted at the majesty of this fall.... the rain drops hung to the air against gravity like a child to his mother for fear of dogs... and as they both lay there unaware of the rain, staring deep and knocking so loudly on the heart's door with the persistence of the Jehovah's Witness, a whole new world was birthed!!!!!
