BLUE BEYOND BLUE
BLUE BEYOND BLUE
Many a growing lad have
dreamed sultry dreams
Of rosy sunshine and
bright moonbeams
Caressing his subtle
back while he sprawls out on the sunset stricken beach
Hoping that life
remains as he ostentized : BLUE BEYOND BLUE.
I for one was such a
lad
Childhood was rosy,
sultry and blue.
I had everything for
which to be glad:
Parents who loved me
and an inheritance I hoped someday to accrue.
Wonderful friends and
siblings
Fine clothes with which
I could be clad
All was rosy, sultry
and blue
Blue beyond blue.
But then even as I
grew,
And more experience I
tend to accrue,
I started to ponder
How on earth I ended up
yonder
With a seemingly
blueless sky
Above my head.
Hoping for the utopic
situation
Blue beyond blue.
One after another, life
has taken from me
Those things once I
hoped on
Those things on which I
hoped on.
Now it even feasts on
my sanity
Like a vulture on the
carcass
Leaving me fallow
Like a fruitful but
forgotten land
Thou who seest all
Help me lest I fall
For life has taken so
much from me
But I want to rejoice
in thee.
And just then came the
beam
Like an angel in the
den
Rays of joy and hope
Illuminating what life
has turned to glee.
Then I realize that no
matter what life shoves your way
There is a blue beyond the
BLUE.
